Biography

Reece Bellotti (born December 7, 1990, in Watford, Hertfordshire) is an English super-featherweight boxer. Bellotti began boxing at age 15 at South Oxhey Boxing Club in Watford after his parents sent him to channel his schoolyard fighting into discipline. He fought his first amateur bout at 17 and won ABA bantamweight (2012) and featherweight (2013) titles under trainer Mick Courtney.

He turned professional on May 28, 2015, debuting at York Hall in London with a first-round knockout of Joe Beeden. After winning his first nine fights (eight by stoppage), he claimed the WBC International Silver featherweight title with an eighth-round TKO of Jamie Speight on July 1, 2017. On October 13, 2017, he won the Commonwealth featherweight title by stopping Jason Cunningham in the sixth round. He defended that title once before losing it to Ryan Doyle via fifth-round TKO in June 2018. In December 2018, he challenged Ryan Walsh for the British featherweight title but lost a split decision.

Bellotti rebounded, winning the vacant Commonwealth super-featherweight title with an eighth-round TKO of Aqib Fiaz on October 21, 2023, and then captured the British super-featherweight title with a unanimous decision over Liam Dillon on February 10, 2024 . He retained both belts by unanimous decision over Levi Giles on July 6, 2024, and again by RTD over Michael Gomez Jr on February 15, 2025. Outside the ring, Bellotti draws inspiration from fellow UK-Italian legend Joe Calzaghe and credits his willingness to train hard for his success that mixes tactical adjustment.

Technical Overview

Reece Bellotti fights like a hybrid of British fundamentals fused with an Italian sense of timing and artistry. His style isn’t flashy for the sake of it - it’s structured, classical, but with small flourishes in rhythm and level changes that draw from Italy’s stylistic traditions. He stands in a tight orthodox guard and moves with a bounce that mirrors the elasticity once made famous by Eastern European fighters and now carried by world-level Japanese boxers. That bounce gives him a spring in his step.

Reece Bellotti’s approach to combinations, especially his body-head sequencing, resonates with what we saw recently in the UFC 317 main event. Victor’s first-round knockout didn’t come from some wild exchange - it came from a structured, fundamental setup. He changed levels, touched the body. That same philosophy pulses through Bellotti’s work. He builds combinations off positioning not guesswork. He’ll jab the body, draw a guard drop, then fire a sharp right cross upstairs. Or he’ll lead with a high jab, step in tight, and shift low with a hook to the ribs. It’s not just what he throws - it’s how and when. Timing, not tricks.

Bellotti’s combinations aren’t performed for highlight reels—they’re constructed to disrupt rhythm and erase comfort. A favorite sequence: jab to the body, straight right, left hook upstairs, followed by a compact uppercut if the opponent shells or leans in. He doesn’t rush it. Each shot is thrown with his feet under him, balanced, calculated. It mirrors that same dynamic at UFC 317—where structure, not spectacle, won the night. The kind of knockout that makes coaches nod instead of scream. Bellotti operates in that same lane: calculated and level-switching.
