Panya Pradabsri, born on February 21, 1991, in Ubon Ratchathani, Thailand, is a prominent Thai professional boxer known for his technical precision and resilience in the ring. Initially a Muay Thai fighter with over 200 bouts under the alias "Porha Exindecongym," Pradabsri transitioned to boxing under the mentorship of former world champion Tepparith Kokietgym. He has since carved a formidable legacy in the lower weight divisions, rising to become a multi-weight world champion. His career is managed by Petchyindee Boxing Promotions, and he trains under the guidance of former WBC world flyweight champion Chatchai Sasakul.
Pradabsri’s professional career took off swiftly, capturing the WBC Asian Continental title in just his fourth fight and defending it with notable knockouts. Despite a minor setback in 2017 with a majority decision loss to former champion Xiong Chaozhong, he bounced back with a string of wins, collecting regional titles across three weight classes. His breakthrough came in November 2020 when he defeated the undefeated Wanheng Menayothin to win the WBC mini-flyweight title—ending Wanheng’s 54-fight winning streak and making headlines as a major upset in the division.
He successfully defended his WBC mini-flyweight belt in a rematch against Wanheng in 2022 and again against Norihito Tanaka twice, including a dominant stoppage in their second encounter. After a canceled bout due to illness, he later unified against Yudai Shigeoka in a highly anticipated title bout. In December 2024, Pradabsri moved up to light-flyweight and defeated Carlos Cañizales in a controversial but triumphant majority decision, becoming a two-division world champion. This victory reestablished Thailand’s presence in world boxing after a temporary drought of champions.
