Otto Wallin’s (24-1, 14 KOs) promoter Dimitri Salita announced that he is currently in talks with Eddie Hearn about a possible return to the ring in the spring of his ward Anthony Joshua (24-3, 22 KOs).
“Eddie and I had a serious conversation last week about Otto, and as far as I understand, now everything depends on AJ,” Salita said. “I know Anthony wants to be top heavyweight again.”
“Both Otto and AJ want to fight Fury. In terms of punch statistics, no one has landed as many strikes on Fury as Otto. In my opinion, the winner of this fight would have the right to challenge Fury after the fight with Usyk, ”said Wallin’s promoter.
Anthony Joshua held his last fight this year in Jeddah (Saudi Arabia) and the event was considered one of the most anticipated boxing fights of the year - a rematch against Ukrainian Oleksandr Usyk.
According to its results, Usyk won by a split decision of the judges and defended the world champion titles according to the World Boxing Association (WBA Super), International Boxing Federation (IBF), World Boxing Organization (WBO) and International Boxing Organization (IBO) heavyweight, as well as won the vacant title of world champion according to The Ring magazine.
