Justis Huni isn’t flying to England just to show face - he’s coming to crash the party. The unbeaten Australian heavyweight has stepped in on short notice to face top contender Fabio Wardley in a high-stakes clash on June 7, live on DAZN, at Portman Road in Ipswich, Wardley’s hometown.
The bout headlines a homecoming card Wardley hoped would be a celebration. Huni, however, has other plans. “I didn’t come all the way over here just to take part,” said Huni. “I’m really coming over here to cause an upset and crash this homecoming party Fabio has planned.”
The 26-year-old Huni replaced Jarrell Miller, who withdrew due to injury, and has been training in Greater Manchester since the announcement. Despite the short six-week camp, Huni believes the timing is perfect, following a run of three consecutive second-round knockouts.

While this marks only his third fight outside Australia, it’s his first time fighting in true enemy territory. “The fans here are great, but I expect that to change once we get in the ring,” he admitted. “I’m here to embrace it, take it all in.”
Fabio Wardley remains the betting favorite, but many agree Huni may pose a more dangerous threat than Miller. Known for his slick skills and ring IQ, Huni is eager to prove himself on a world stage. “This is just another steppingstone to get me to where I want to go,” he said.
