In a surprising gesture of camaraderie, WBC heavyweight champion Tyson Fury has extended an invitation to Queensberry stablemate Joe Joyce to join him in training camp. The offer comes as Joyce prepares for a high-stakes rematch against Chinese powerhouse Zhilei Zhang.

Back in April, Zhang stunned boxing enthusiasts when he stopped Joyce in six rounds, causing a swollen eye that led the ringside doctor to call off the fight. A few weeks after this shocking defeat, Joyce triggered his contractual clause for an immediate rematch. Initially, Fury had been eyeing Zhang as his next potential adversary, but Joyce’s rematch call effectively put a halt to those discussions.

The highly anticipated rematch is set to take place on September 23 at Wembley Arena. The stakes are incredibly high, as the victor will secure the mandatory position to challenge unified champion Oleksandr Usyk. Given these high stakes, it’s no surprise that Fury, keen to see his fellow Brit triumph, is offering his assistance.

Fury addressed Joyce publicly, stating, “This is a message to big Joe Joyce... If you want some proper southpaw from someone who's bigger, fatter, quicker, harder puncher, everything than Zhang, please come up to Morecambe and do some sparring with me.” He further tantalized the offer with the promise of a secret strategy to defeat Zhang. Meanwhile, Fury’s own next bout remains uncertain, with rumors hinting at a potential exhibition fight with former UFC heavyweight champion Francis Ngannou. As the boxing world awaits both matches, Fury's training offer adds an extra layer of intrigue to the unfolding drama.
