Radivoje “Hot Rod” Kalajdzic is setting his sights on a December showdown with David Benavidez after a commendable performance against David Morrell earlier this month. Even though he lost that fight, his ability to withstand the Cuban's power and go the distance has opened the door for more significant opportunities, with Kalajdzic now eyeing some of the biggest names in the super middleweight division.

Kalajdzic has never been one to shy away from tough competition. Having already faced the likes of Artur Beterbiev, Kalajdzic knew that Morrell, though formidable, was not an insurmountable challenge. Reflecting on the fight, Kalajdzic expressed confidence in his performance and noted that he had anticipated a more challenging bout.

"I thought he was this big puncher, that skillful boxer, but I feel like the fight was closer than they had it," he remarked.

The Florida-based fighter is now turning his attention to a possible matchup with David Benavidez, one of the most feared fighters in the super middleweight division. Kalajdzic believes his performance against Morrell has proven he is more than capable of standing toe-to-toe with the best in the world.

Kalajdzic even floated the idea of a card featuring himself against Benavidez, with Morrell taking on Oleksandr Gvozdyk in the co-main event. Such a lineup, he believes, would not only provide exciting matchups but also serve as a prelude to a potential showdown between Benavidez and Morrell.
