On Thursday, March 16, the Agganis Arena in Boston, MA will host the ‘Eve of St. Patrick’s Day’ boxing event, which will be broadcasted live globally on UFC FIGHT PASS.
The event’s ten-round super welterweight main event will now feature Callum ‘King’ Walsh (5-0, 4 KOs), hailing from Cork, Ireland, against the experienced and powerful Wesley Tucker (15-4, 9 KOs) as the latter replaces Leonardo Di Stefano Ruiz, who injured a finger while sparring.
As a southpaw fighter, Tucker has been in the professional boxing circuit for nine years, facing several world-ranked boxers and emerging contenders, including Jose Antonio Abreu, Alexander Basputin, and Enver Halili. In his last bout, he had a closely contested fight with world-ranked Ivan Golub (21-1-0, 16 KOs) on October 13, 2022, where he knocked down the Ukrainian boxer in the second round but ultimately lost the fight.
“While we’re understandably concerned for Leonard Di Stefano Ruiz’s injury and wish him a full recovery, Callum Walsh is now facing an even more experienced fighter in Wesley Tucker on Thursday, March 16 in front of the huge Irish crowd in Boston,” said President of 360 Promotions Tom Loeffler.
