Dana White, the well-known CEO of the UFC, is teaming up with Turki Alalshikh from Saudi Arabia’s General Entertainment Authority to launch a brand-new boxing league under the TKO Group banner. This new promotion aims to bring a “best fight the best” model, which White says will deliver the matchups fans crave while giving fighters a clear path to titles.
White, who famously guided the UFC to mainstream stardom, shared on social media how thrilled he is to enter boxing. Meanwhile, Alalshikh - whose passion for the Sweet Science is no secret - handed what he called the “flag of boxing” to White, believing the UFC boss can elevate the sport’s global profile. The league’s official name remains under wraps, but the first events could kick off as early as 2026.
WWE president Nick Khan will help oversee day-to-day operations, with TKO, owners of both the UFC and WWE, handling the logistics. Notably, Saudi Arabia’s Sela, a subsidiary of the Public Investment Fund, joins the partnership, continuing the Kingdom’s big push into international sports ventures. Brace yourself for more details, as White has promised plenty of future announcements about where to watch and how this new league will revolutionize professional boxing.
