The partnership between Amazon Prime Video and Premier Boxing Champions is gearing up for an even bigger year in 2025. After a steady debut year with five events, including pay-per-view cards headlined by Canelo Alvarez and Gervonta "Tank" Davis, the collaboration is set to expand its activity significantly. Former Showtime Sports head Stephen Espinoza, now a consultant for PBC, confirmed the plans during a recent interview with BoxingScene.

"For 2025, the training wheels are off," Espinoza remarked. "2024 was about establishing a rhythm with PBC and Prime Video. This year, it's going to be a busier schedule. We already have multiple events lined up for the first quarter, including non-pay-per-view shows."

The year kicks off with an explosive light heavyweight clash on February 1, as David Benavidez takes on David Morrell at T-Mobile Arena in Las Vegas. Another non-pay-per-view event is set for February 15 at Caribe Royale in Orlando, Florida, with details yet to be announced.

On March 1, Gervonta "Tank" Davis will defend his WBA lightweight title against Lamont Roach in Brooklyn, New York. The Davis vs. Roach undercard is also expected to feature a standout clash between WBA junior welterweight titleholder Jose "El Rayo" Valenzuela and top contender Gary Antuanne Russell.

Espinoza expressed enthusiasm for the Benavidez-Morrell card, emphasizing its depth. "It’s really an intriguing card from top to bottom with high-quality fights," he said. "The Davis-Roach event will also be well-supported. You’ll see a step-up in activity in 2025, which is great for boxing."

With platforms like Amazon Prime and Netflix stepping into the boxing world, Espinoza noted that this shift marks a pivotal moment for the sport. "The U.S. boxing market is in transition. Showtime and HBO are out, and Fox isn’t active anymore. But the increasing involvement of Amazon and Netflix is a critical development for the future of the sport," he added.

For fans, this renewed energy from PBC and Prime Video means a robust schedule of must-watch fights in 2025.
