Promoter Alex Krayssuk believes the upcoming bout between Oleksandr Usyk and Tyson Fury, set for later this month in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, will hinge significantly on mental strength. The fight, which was postponed from its original February date due to a sparring injury to Fury, will finally see these two titans clash for the undisputed heavyweight title.

Krayssuk is particularly concerned about ensuring the fight goes ahead without further delays, urging Fury to adopt all necessary safety measures to avoid any injuries that could derail the event again. “I do hope that Tyson will wear his helmet, his protective gear this time and not injure his eyebrow or whatever he could injure, and that this time, the fight on May 18 will go the way it should have gone in December and then in February,” Krayssuk expressed to Sky Sports.

Krayssuk also highlighted Usyk’s mental fortitude, heart, and discipline as his key attributes. “His weapon is his mind, heart, experience, and boxing skills. And the main thing about him that is different from Tyson Fury is his discipline. That is what makes him great, and it is his toughest weapon,” Krayssuk explained, setting the stage for what he believes will be a battle defined by psychological endurance as much as physical strength.
