Deontay Wilder’s trainer, Malik Scott, firmly believes that “The Bronze Bomber” is the only fighter capable of defeating the undisputed heavyweight champion Oleksandr Usyk. Despite Wilder’s recent struggles in the ring, Scott feels that Wilder’s lean frame, speed, and power make him a formidable opponent for Usyk.

Wilder has lost three of his last four fights, which makes the prospect of him challenging for a world title seem unlikely. His lackluster performance against Joseph Parker last April, where he lost a unanimous decision, has left fans skeptical about his competitiveness against a fighter of Usyk’s caliber.

Wilder’s career is on the line this Saturday night in Riyadh as he faces Zhilei Zhang. Wilder has openly stated that he might retire if he loses this fight. A loss would not only crush his hopes for a title shot against Usyk but also diminish his chances of securing other lucrative fights.

Scott is also keen on seeing a fourth bout between Wilder and Tyson Fury. However, this seems highly improbable as Fury is nearing retirement, potentially with only two fights left against Usyk and Anthony Joshua. Wilder has already lost twice to Fury, and fans would likely view a fourth fight as unnecessary and a mere money grab.

For now, Scott should focus on Wilder’s immediate challenge against Zhang. The odds are stacked against Wilder, with many boxing fans and oddsmakers predicting a knockout victory for Zhang, which could spell the end of Wilder’s career.
