Keyshawn Davis has declared he'll stay at 135 pounds as long as necessary to secure a fight with Gervonta "Tank" Davis. The Virginia native believes Tank is hoping he'll move up to 140, allowing him to avoid a showdown by claiming the size difference. But Keyshawn has no intention of giving in, stating, "I’m going to be there until you’re ready to fight me."
At 25, Keyshawn is a large lightweight, reportedly looking more like a welterweight when he rehydrates after weigh-ins. His size advantage has drawn criticism, with Keyshawn known to dominate his opponents at lightweight. But Davis insists that if he ever does face Tank, the negotiations would require fair terms with no rehydration clauses or weight restrictions, often seen in other Tank fights. "He can’t do all that shenanigans that he be doing with other people," Keyshawn stated.

Despite his confidence, Keyshawn acknowledges the potential money and fame in a Tank fight, recognizing that Tank holds the upper hand in negotiations due to his star power. For now, Keyshawn’s commitment to the lightweight division reflects his desire to prove himself as a top contender. However, he knows staying at 135 indefinitely isn’t an option, as his natural size could push him up in weight sooner rather than later.
