Frank Warren, a prominent boxing promoter, has expressed his confidence in heavyweight Joe Joyce, suggesting that he would be a formidable match for Anthony Joshua. During an interview on Queensberry Promotions’ YouTube channel, Warren stated, “I think Joe Joyce would knock him out. As soon as he catches him. He will walk through him.”

Warren acknowledges that Joyce faces a dangerous opponent in the upcoming fight on Saturday night at Copper Box Arena in London. Joyce (15-0, 14 KOs) is slated to clash with the massive Chinese contender Zhang Zhilei (24-1-1, 19 KOs) in the main event of a card that will be aired on ESPN+.

If the 37-year-old Joyce emerges victorious and retains his WBO interim heavyweight title, Warren would not hesitate to arrange a highly anticipated domestic showdown between the 2016 Olympic silver medalist and Joshua. Warren said, “I mean, they wanna pick up the phone and talk to us about that, we’ll do that immediately, if Joe comes through.”

Warren emphasized Joyce’s position as the interim champion and gatekeeper to the mandatory WBO slot. He added, “So, if anybody wants it, they know what they’ve gotta do. They’ve gotta fight him. And if Joshua wants to get himself into that position, we’ll gladly, gladly accommodate him for that.” Speaking on behalf of Joyce, Warren revealed that the fighter himself is eager for the bout, stating, “Joe has told me he wants the fight.”
