Jesse Hart, after a rigorous period of career rehabilitation, is setting his sights on higher goals following four consecutive victories, the most recent against Jeyson Minda. At 34, Hart is no longer content with facing lesser-known names in the super middleweight division. He’s aiming for a significant challenge and believes a fight against Jermall Charlo could be his ticket to the top.

Hart’s interest in facing Charlo stems from his desire to compete against some of the most notable fighters in the division, such as Caleb Plant, Canelo Alvarez, David Benavidez, and Jaime Munguia. However, Charlo, who currently holds the WBC middleweight title, seems to be his primary target. Charlo’s last appearance in the ring, weighing over 166 pounds, and his expressed intention to move up to super middleweight have caught Hart’s attention.

Despite Charlo’s extended layoff from the ring, Hart believes Charlo looked incredibly sharp in his last fight. “I think he looked phenomenal in his last fight. He looked good, he looked composed. I would love that fight with Jermall Charlo,” Hart expressed. This respect for Charlo’s abilities underscores Hart's readiness for a high-profile bout.

Hart’s approach to this potential matchup is notably different from his usual fiery demeanor. He seems to recognize Charlo’s skills and is eager for the opportunity to test himself against a fighter of Charlo’s caliber. A battle with Charlo, who is making a comeback and eyeing a new weight class, represents a tantalizing prospect for Hart.
