Saturday night in Tijuana, Mexico, boxing fans were treated to an action-packed card headlined by a thrilling middleweight clash featuring the Mexican legend Jaime Munguia. The event brought together some of the sport's most exciting names, with former champions and rising stars.

In the main event, former WBO light middleweight champion Jaime Munguia suffered a shocking defeat at the hands of Bruno Surace. The scheduled 10-round bout, which saw Surace claim a career-defining victory, ended in the sixth round when Munguia, who had been dominating much of the fight, was stopped after being floored by a perfectly timed right hand from Surace.

The fight began with Munguia taking an early edge and after a minute in the second round, Munguia knocked Surace down for the first time in his career with a clean left hook to the chin. Although visibly shaken, Surace managed to survive the round. Munguia kept up the pressure in the third and fourth rounds, pinning Surace against the ropes and landing effective combinations. However, Surace showed his resilience, landing a sharp uppercut in the fourth that momentarily rocked Munguia.

The sixth round proved decisive. Despite Munguia's early dominance and frequent combinations, Surace managed to counter with a powerful right hand that sent Munguia crashing to the canvas. Though Munguia barely beat the count, referee Juan Jose Ramirez deemed him unable to continue, stopping the bout at 2:36 of the round. The surprising finish left the crowd stunned and cemented Surace’s reputation as a dangerous and resilient competitor.
