The Michelob Ultra Arena crackled with anticipation Saturday night as former champions, unbeaten contenders, and hard-hitting prospects shared one card, with every matchup promising to reshape the crowded middle- and super-middleweight pictures.

Jose Resendiz and Caleb Plant fought a rough, give-and-take twelve rounds marked by head clashes, body work, and late drama. Resendiz hurt Plant with a right in round 6, drew two warnings for use of the head in round 8, then pounded the ribs through the late frames while opening a cut over Plant’s right eyebrow in the eleventh. Plant answered with sharp counters and a chin-checking right at the end of that same round, but the judges sided with the heavier activity: 116-112, 116-112 for Resendiz and 115-113 for Plant, giving Resendiz the split-decision win.
