Yesterday, the boxing event was held in Washington D.C., Capital One Arena, where the night's main event included a fight between Gervonta "Tank" Davis (28-0, 26 KOs) and Hector "El Androide" Luis Garcia (16-1, 10 KOs), which was broadcasted by Showtimes PPV.
All in all, the meeting between Garcia and "Tank" Davis resulted in the latter's victory. Unfortunately, due to severe injuries, Garcia was unable to continue the fight in the ninth round.
Up until Round 8, when a fight broke out in the front two rows of the audience, the action continued erratically as ringside security dealt with the situation. When the fight resumed, Davis kept walking Garcia down with heavy left hands, and just before the round's end, it seemed like Garcia had fallen. He was unable to answer the bell to begin in the next round, which resulted in Davis winning via TKO to retain his secondary WBA lightweight championship. Garcia had complained to his team after the round that he also couldn't see.
In the сo-main event, No. 1 ranked Philadelphian Jaron "Boots" Ennis (30-0-1, 27 KOs) outdueled No. 4 ranked Kievan Karen Chukhadzhian (21-2, 11 KOs) over the span of 12 rounds to win the Interim Welterweight title.
