Adam Azim tried to continue his rise through the junior welterweight division on Saturday night in London, taking on veteran Ohara Davies. At just 22 years old, Azim faced a significant challenge in the experienced 33-year-old Davies, who had previously shared the ring with some of the division's best.

As the bout progressed, Azim was strategically picking his moments and working behind a sharp jab. By Round 5, his power began to shine through as Davies took a knee after absorbing a hard body shot. Despite Davies' determination, the fight turned increasingly one-sided as Azim kept up the pressure. In Round 8, a devastating left hand sent Davies to the canvas for the final time, with the referee stepping in to call the bout.

Following the win, Azim reflected on the fight and his career trajectory, expressing confidence in his abilities while hinting at future clashes with top contenders like Dalton Smith. Promoter Ben Shalom also emphasized that while many will call out Azim, the team will choose the right fights at the right time, as the young fighter continues to build his name in the division.

On the undercard, Anthony Yarde secured a hard-fought victory over Ralfs Vilcans in a light heavyweight bout that went the distance. Despite an early knockdown, Yarde faced resistance from Vilcans, who managed to recover and make the fight competitive, but Yarde ultimately emerged victorious on points.
