Professional boxing returns to The Theater at Madison Square Garden on October 23, with "Heroes on the Hudson 2," a DiBella Entertainment event honoring U.S. veterans ahead of Veterans Day. The card will feature an exciting IBF bantamweight title rematch between current champion Miyo Yoshida (17-4, 0 KOs) and Shurretta Metcalf (13-4-1, 2 KOs), headlining a night dedicated to raising money and awareness for veterans' charities.

Lou DiBella, President of DiBella Entertainment, expressed his excitement for the event, stating, "This is a compelling world title fight between two talented, hard-working single mothers. It’s an honor to host this event again, especially in a bigger venue like Madison Square Garden."

The two fighters first met in November 2023, when Metcalf defeated Yoshida by unanimous decision to capture the IBF Inter-Continental title. Yoshida, who later shocked the boxing world by defeating Ebanie Bridges to become a three-time, two-division world champion, is determined to avenge that loss. "I’m eager for revenge and sure I will win," said Yoshida, now based in New York City. Meanwhile, Metcalf is confident in her chances, saying, "I beat Yoshida last time, and I’ll do it again to become world champion."

With tickets priced from $57 to $182, proceeds from the event will benefit several veterans' causes, including the West Point Society of New York, Merging Vets & Players, and The Headstrong Project, offering mental healthcare to the military community.
