Olympic super heavyweight gold champion Tony Yoka (11-1, 9 KOs) squares off against former world title challenger Carlos Takam (39-7-1, 28 KOs) in Paris, France. Fighting the 42-year-old Takam is a significant step down for Yoka and a blatant indication that his pro prospects are in doubt after six years.
Yoka should be much further along in his career given his Olympic gold medal achievement, but he hasn't demonstrated the kind of talent that would indicate he can compete against top-tier fighters.
Yoka's very dubious victory over Joe Joyce in the 2016 Olympic final makes it understandable why he's already struggling in the professional ranks without having faced top-tier competition.
In their battle, Joyce defeated Yoka, appearing to win each round but falling short on the scorecards. Sometimes it is hard to understand what the judges were thinking when they awarded Yoka the victory when you think back on that competition.
In the undercard, Dan Azeez (18-0, 12 KOs) fights against Frenchman Thomas Faure (21-4, 2 KOs) for the European light-heavyweight title
