Yaqubov, the slick southpaw from Tajikistan, has rebuilt with four straight wins since dropping a wide WBC eliminator to O’Shaquie Foster in 2022. Foster, of Connecticut, seeks to re-establish himself after a tight loss to Henry Lebron in 2023 and a subsequent upset reverse against Eridson Garcia; he arrives on a two-fight rebound that includes a decision over veteran Jayson Velez.
The chief support pits two familiar ShoBox names at 140 lbs: Dominican southpaw Starling Castillo (19-1-1, 13 KOs) ends nearly seventeen months of inactivity to face New Jersey puncher Shinard Bunch (21-2-1, 17 KOs), who returns after a two-year lay-off.
With both bouts matching seasoned prospects coming off differing detours, ProBox’s Friday night double-header promises competitive, stakes-raising encounters ahead of the following day’s Riyadh Season blockbuster.
