Liam Wilson (14-3, 8 KOs) and Youssef "Uwee" Dib (21-2, 11 KOs) run it back at South Bank Piazza in Brisbane. No Limit Boxing announced the highly-anticipated rematch on Wednesday, billing it as the perfect way to kick off its 2025 season.
Their first encounter in July was a thrilling lightweight battle, with Wilson landing a stunning eighth-round left hook that ended a back-and-forth war. Despite being stopped, Dib is confident he can flip the script this time, calling himself “hungrier” and “stronger,” and vowing to regain what he feels should have been his all along.
Wilson, meanwhile, says he was surprised that Dib wanted a second go, but promises to prove the gap in skill even more clearly. "He brought the fight to me, but when it mattered most, I showed why I’m levels above," Wilson stated, adding that he aims to make the rematch outcome "even more decisive."
No Limit Boxing CEO George Rose is equally enthusiastic, dubbing Wilson-Dib II a fight that could top their original “fight of the year” contender. The undercard features a host of local talents, including Kirra Rushton, Jack Bowen and Paris Olympian Shannon Davey.
