The long-awaited return of pro boxing to Grand Casino Hinckley on February 14, 2025, is finally here, and Minnesota fight fans are buzzing. Nearly three years have passed since a live show last lit up the venue, considered one of the most influential fight stages in the region over the past three decades. An eight-bout lineup is set to deliver an exciting evening, topped by a heavyweight clash between Colton Warner (8-2, 5 KOs) and Brandon Carmack (8-6-2, 5 KOs).
Shoreview’s Antonio Woods (12-1, 10 KOs) will look to continue his rise in a middleweight bout against Wilfrido Buelvas (26-21, 18 KOs). Also on the card, Tim Taggart (6-5-2, 3 KOs) aims to cap his career with one final fight, taking on Bryan Hall (1-5-1, 0 KOs) in a four-round heavyweight battle. Another intriguing matchup sees Gavin Hendrickson (2-0-3, 2 KOs) and Tyler Nystrom (1-2-1, 1 KO) rematch over five scheduled rounds at middleweight. Fans will also keep an eye on lightweight prospect Josh Clark (7-1, 2 KOs), who faces Mike Fowler (10-57, 4 KOs).
Former local favorite Van Goodman, who battled at Grand Casino multiple times, is especially thrilled to see boxing return. Goodman recently overcame a life-threatening fight with COVID, and he appreciates the opportunity for up-and-coming fighters to showcase their skills. Promoter Cory Rapacz promises a high-quality event that will recapture the buzz once associated with “Grand Friday Night Fights.”
Tickets begin at 50 dollars for general admission and can be purchased via the link in this event or at the casino box office.
