The thrilling bout saw one judge scoring the fight 114-113 for Fury, while the other two scored it 114-113 and 115-112 in favor of Usyk, crowning the Ukrainian as the first unified heavyweight champion since Lennox Lewis defeated Evander Holyfield in 1999.

Even though the rematch was initially scheduled for October 12, it was pushed to the end of 2024:
"The rematch between the Undisputed Champion Oleksandr Usyk and the Champion Tyson Fury is now scheduled on the 21 of December 2024 during Riyadh Season... The world will watch another historical fight again... Our commitment to boxing fans continues... We hope you enjoy it."
Fury, who suffered his first professional defeat in the first bout, expressed his determination to rectify his record in the rematch:
"I believe I won the fight, but I'm not going to sit here and cry and make excuses. I believe he won a few of the rounds, but I won the majority of them. What can you do? We both put on a good fight, the best we could do. ... People are siding with the country at war. But make no mistake, I won that fight ... and I'll be back. We've got a rematch clause."

The first fight was a grueling battle, with Fury getting 14 unanswered punches in Round 9, resulting in the eighth knockdown of his career. Usyk appeared at the post-fight news conference with four stitches in his right eye and severe swelling around both eyes. Both fighters endured lengthy training camps after the fight was postponed from February 17 due to a cut Fury suffered during sparring that required 11 stitches.
In the co-main event, Moses Itauma (10-0, 8 KOs) steps into the ring against dangerous contender Demsey McKean (22-1, 14 KOs). Itauma, who has captured the imagination of boxing fans with his rapid rise, faces his toughest challenge yet in McKean, a fighter whose only professional defeat came at the hands of Filip Hrgovic.
In the undercard, the rematch between Tyson Fury and Oleksandr Usyk in Riyadh will also be supported by an exciting super welterweight bout between Serhii Bohachuk (24-2, 23 KOs) and Ishmael Davis (13-1, 6 KOs).

Initially, Uzbekistan's Madrimov had been scheduled to fight Bohachuk in the co-main event as chief support, but the Uzbek fighter, who lost to Terence Crawford in August, will now focus on recovering from bronchitis for his next scheduled bout against Vergil Ortiz on February 22. Replacing Madrimov in Riyadh will be British contender Ishmael Davis, stepping in on short notice.
Johnny Fisher (12-0, 8 KOs), known as "The Romford Bull," aims to continue his knockout streak when he takes on seasoned veteran Dave Allen (23-6-2, 18 KOs). Fisher has impressed the boxing world with his early finishes, while Allen brings experience against notable names such as Dillian Whyte and Luis Ortiz. This heavyweight clash will serve as a true measuring stick for Fisher’s progress as he steps onto a bigger stage.

Isaac Lowe (25-2-3, 8 KOs), a familiar face on Tyson Fury’s undercards, returns to action against Lee McGregor (14-1-1, 11 KOs). Lowe, victorious at Fury vs. Usyk I earlier this year, now faces a fighter coming off a TKO win over Jorge Moya. McGregor’s momentum and Lowe’s proven toughness should produce a compelling contest that brings added energy to the night’s proceedings.
In another undercard clash, undefeated Ukrainian Andrii Novytskyi (13-0, 10 KOs) meets Edgar Ramirez (10-1-1, 8 KOs). Novytskyi has built an impressive record since turning pro last year, and his reputation as a knockout artist precedes him. Ramirez, having regained footing after a career setback, aims to derail Novytskyi’s rise.
With these matchups, the undercard for Fury vs. Usyk 2 is shaping up to be a thrilling night of boxing. Will Fury get the revenge? We will find it out on 21st of December.
