Fight Details

Mary Spencer (7-1, 5 KOs) and Femke Hermans (16-4, 7 KOs) are set for a rematch, contending for the vacant IBF female junior middleweight title at the Montreal Casino in Montreal, Canada.

Their initial bout last December saw Hermans, currently ranked No. 4 by The Ring in the junior middleweight category, secure a 10-round unanimous decision against Spencer. While Spencer has since revamped her team, Hermans has maintained her momentum with two wins, marking their upcoming bout as a pivotal one, especially for Spencer.

Spencer, with her extensive amateur achievements including three world championships and a 2011 Pan-Am Games gold, turned professional in 2021. Despite her meteoric rise and early stoppages against formidable opponents like Chris Namus and Cynthia Lozano, her recent loss to Hermans is a gap she aims to fill. On the other side, Hermans, who turned pro in 2016, has had a mixed journey. After a few defeats, including one against unified titleholder Claressa Shields, Hermans managed to bounce back, clinching the European middleweight title and notching four wins, with Spencer being her recent scalp.

In the co-main event, Erik Bazinyan (30-0, 21 KOs) defends his NABF and NABA super middleweight titles in a fight against Ronald Ellis (18-3-2, 12 KOs).

With an impressive record under his belt, Bazinyan is currently ranked #2 by WBA, #3 by both WBC and IBF. His career has taken a soaring trajectory after bouts against formidable opponents like Alantez Fox, Marcelo Esteban Coceres, and Jose de Jesus Macias. Now, he's geared up for more high-stakes fights.

Ellis has previously showcased his durability, especially in fights against elite fighters like Christian Mbilli and David Benavidez, the #1 WBC contender. Such encounters have seasoned him with invaluable experience.

Rounding out the evening, Eye of The Tiger Management’s prospects—Mehmet Unal (4-0, 3 KOs), Wilkens Mathieu (3-0, 2 KOs), and Jhon Orobio (3-0, 3 KOs)—are poised for action. Additionally, Moreno Fendero is set to make his professional debut.
