Following a sensational second-round knockout triumph over Jesus Valentin Leon during the Davis vs. Garcia undercard on April 22, Schofield is set to captivate the crowd again with his electrifying performance.
The original, long-awaited headline-bout between Eimantas Stanionis and Vergil Ortiz Jr. has been postponed once again. Ortiz Jr. has pulled out of his WBA welterweight title bout after reportedly being hospitalized.
The two were initially supposed to meet on March 18 of 2023, but the 29-year-old Stanionis had to have an urgent procedure for an appendectomy in his native Lithuania in early January, forcing the bout with Vergil to be postponed until April.
In the co-main event of the evening, talented lightweight Joseph "JoJo" Diaz (32-4-1, 15 KOs) faces Jerry Perez (14-2-1, 11 KOs).
Adding to the excitement of this event, the flyweight champion Marlen Esparza (13-1, 1 KO) is set to face off against Gabriela Alaniz (14-0, 6 KOs) in a highly anticipated 10-round unification bout for the WBC, WBA, and WBO women's flyweight titles.
