Commonwealth super lightweight champion Jack Rafferty (22-0, 13 KOs) is set to step up to the welterweight division to face India’s Sabari Jaishankar (11-2, 5 KOs) for the IBO Continental welterweight title. This fight will take place on a Conlan Boxing show and will be broadcast live on DAZN.
Rafferty claimed the Commonwealth 140lb title last December by stopping the respected Lee Appleyard in just one round. The 28-year-old "Demolition Man" from Shaw is eyeing a potential British title shot, particularly if the current champion, Dalton Smith, vacates the title to move on to the world stage. However, his manager, Tom Stalker, believes that the bout with Jaishankar offers Rafferty a great opportunity to stay active and build his profile.
