Fight Details

Pierce O’Leary (14-0, 9 KOs) is set to make his fourth defense of the WBC International super lightweight title against Darragh Foley (22-5-1, 10 KOs) at The SSE Arena in Belfast on Friday, June 28. The event, promoted by Queensberry, will be broadcast live on TNT Sports.

O’Leary last showcased his skills in March in Birmingham, where he impressively stopped the unbeaten Hovhannes Martirosyan in the ninth round. The 23-year-old from Dublin aims to maintain his perfect record against Foley, an experienced Irish southpaw now based in Sydney, Australia. Foley previously held regional IBF and IBO titles and recently fought in Manchester, where he lost to Jack Catterall on points. Before that, Foley secured a third-round stoppage victory over Robbie Davies Jr in Liverpool, with Davies Jr sustaining an ankle injury that forced him to retire.

The co-main event will feature Conor Quinn (9-0-1, 6 KOs), who recently signed with Frank Warren, fighting for the vacant Commonwealth flyweight championship against English champion Conner Kelsall (11-0, 1 KO). Quinn, a Celtic champion, makes his Queensberry debut following a strong recommendation from fellow Belfast fighter Carl Frampton. Kelsall from Doncaster will also put his unbeaten record on the line in this bout.

Belfast favorite James McGivern (8-0, 2 KOs) is set to defend his BUI Celtic championship against Cardiff’s Rahid Omar (6-0, 1 KO) in an eight-round battle of unbeaten lightweights. McGivern captured the title in November last year by defeating the previously unbeaten Josh Sandford in Letterkenny.

The event will also feature a contest for the vacant Commonwealth Silver featherweight title, with Belfast’s Colm Murphy (11-0, 3 KOs) taking on Scottish fighter Jack Turner (6-1, 0 KOs).

Five recent Frank Warren signings will complete the lineup for the night.
