Pedro Guevara of Mazatlán, Sinaloa, Mexico, is no stranger to the rigors and glory of championship boxing. As a former light flyweight titleholder, Guevara has faced the best, making two successful world title defenses and challenging the likes of Kenshiro Teraji for the title. Despite a split decision loss to Cuadras last November, which ended his 10-fight winning streak, Guevara demonstrated his indomitable spirit with a victory over Lamberto Macias in February.
