Top Boxing Generation plants its flag in the capital of Ukraine this Saturday when the Kyiv Palace of Sports stages a super-lightweight rematch between local rivals Yanis Kurilenko (13-1, 8 KOs) and Andriy “Akula” Boryshpolets (10-3, 4 KOs). Their first meeting last December ended with Kurilenko edging a majority decision and stripping Boryshpolets of both the Ukrainian championship and the WBC Ukraine belt; the bad blood has only thickened in the six months since.
The show marks a rare Ukrainian appearance on the global stream – DAZN is carrying the event worldwide, only the second time the platform has broadcast a card from Kyiv (the first was Oleksandr Usyk’s Usyk 17 Promotion back in 2017).
Beyond the main attraction, match-maker Olexandr Lukyanenko sprinkles in some of the country’s brightest prospects. Olympic standout Yurii Zakhariev, whose rapid pro start has drawn heavyweight-size buzz, returns in a showcase bout, and Tokyo Olympian Yaroslav Khartsyz looks to extend his flawless record.
