Osleys Iglesias (8-0, 7 KOs), the reigning IBO super middleweight champion, is set to defend his title against the undefeated German fighter, Artur Reis (11-0, 8 KOs), in Magdeburg, Germany in collaboration between SES and Blanko Sports promotion.
Originally from Cuba, Iglesias has been stationed in Berlin for his professional journey, under the management of Tornado Fighting in Germany. However, his promotional deal with Polsat Boxing Promotion has recently ended by mutual consent. This upcoming bout marks Iglesias’s first fight on German soil since 2019.
Speaking about the upcoming match, Iglesias expressed confidence, acknowledging Reis as a formidable opponent. He said, “For my first title defense, I have a good and really tough boxer as a challenger in Artur Reis. With Georg Bramowski’s guidance, I’ve been steadily improving since 2019. I’m confident of a win against Artur.”
On the other hand, Reis, who has been training under Dirk Dzemski, is equally optimistic about the fight. He stated, “I've made significant progress with Dirk Dzemski’s coaching. I aim to mark my first fight under the “SES flag” with a victory and the world championship belt.”
