Han, ranked #4 in the world, and Reyes, who holds El Paso close to her heart despite not residing there, expressed their excitement and gratitude for the opportunity to compete for the title in their hometown. "I'm fighting in El Paso, in front of my friends, family, and coworkers. My ultimate goal is to make them proud," Han shared. Reyes, born in El Paso, echoed similar sentiments, highlighting the city's significance as the first U.S. home for her mother.
Both athletes have been rigorously training for the fight and spoke highly of each other. Han, who has had three fights in the last three months, emphasized her continuous improvement and fitness. Reyes, coming off a loss in London, has been focusing on correcting her identified mistakes. Han described Reyes as "tough as hell," while Reyes admitted her deep respect for Han, promising fans an exhilarating showdown in July.
