Daniel Blenda Dos Santos (22-1, 10 KOs) and Bradley Rea (20-1, 10 KOs) are officially set to square off on April 4 at London’s famed York Hall.
The European light heavyweight clash was originally canceled when Dos Santos failed a pre-fight medical exam in early February, but new tests have cleared him to compete. Promoter GBM says the initial brain scan results were in error, and that further evaluations have shown Dos Santos to be fit for action.
Dos Santos is now confident he’ll be healthy and ready to deliver when they finally meet next month in London. GBM CEO Izzy Asif admits it has been a “dramatic start to the year,” but expects the delay to only add excitement for fight fans.
The undercard also includes an intriguing junior welterweight contest between Ben Crocker (14-0, 2 KOs), and Tienan Bradley (10-0, 5 KOs), plus a junior bantamweight matchup pitting Emma Dolan (7-0, 1 KO), against Lauren Parker (10-1-1, 2 KOs).
