Watch
Masoud kept busy with a dominant eight-round decision win over Marvin Solano, but now the showdown is back on, with the IBO title at stake.
Davies comes into this fight with a stronger resume, having taken down tough competitors like Ionut Baluta and Jason Cunningham, and most notably, stopping Erik Robles Ayala in just two rounds. Masoud, on the other hand, has shown his skills against more experienced but aging opponents, including Yoan Boyeaux and a hard-fought split decision win over Jose Sanmartin.
The stakes are high for Davies, ranked No. 5 in both the IBF and WBC. A win on November 2nd could position him to challenge for a world title, especially if Naoya Inoue moves up to featherweight after his expected bout with Sam Goodman. Masoud, however, sees this as his moment to leapfrog Davies and prove himself as a serious contender in the super bantamweight division.
