Montreal’s Kim Clavel (16-1, 3 KOs) makes a triumphant return to the ring as she faces off against Los Angeles’ Naomi “La Chapita” Arellano Reyes (9-2-0, 5 KOs) for the vacant WBC International Flyweight Championship at Place Bell in Laval on FITE. This high-stakes fight was initially planned to be on 28th of April, but was rescheduled on 12th of May due to the scheduling conflict.
Hailing from Nayarit, Mexico, 28-year-old Reyes now resides and trains in Los Angeles, California. Known for her impressive power in the ring, the South American fighter boasts five knockout wins, striking fear into her opponents and electrifying audiences.
Reyes’ most notable victory came in 2020 against former world champion Carina Moreno (25-7-0, 6 KOs). However, in her latest fight in October 2022, she faced defeat in a decision against Gabriela Fundura (8-0-0, 4 KOs) for the WBC Latino flyweight title, during a PBC event aired on Showtime.
In contrast to Reyes’ power, Clavel is recognized for her slick boxing skills. The Montreal native is on a mission to reclaim her WBC belt, starting with a bout against Reyes on April 28th. As Clavel embarks on this journey, her determination and skill will captivate boxing fans around the world.
