DAZN has added an intriguing heavyweight clash to its December 7 lineup as Mahmoud Charr (34-4, 20 KOs) defends his WBA "world" heavyweight title against Kubrat Pulev (31-3, 14 KOs). The fight will be available for DAZN subscribers, except in Germany, Bulgaria, Austria, Switzerland, and Poland.

Charr, a holder of the controversial secondary WBA title since 2017, has been largely inactive, fighting just three times over the past seven years due to various legal and physical setbacks, many tied to promoter Don King. Charr's most recent title defense occurred in 2022, but injuries have kept him sidelined since.

Pulev, now 43 years old, enters the fight with questions about his recent form. Once a notable heavyweight contender, Pulev's most high-profile bout in recent years was a split-decision loss to Derek Chisora in their 2022 rematch. While no longer in his prime, Pulev’s experience makes him a fitting challenger for the oft-overlooked secondary belt.
