ProBox TV will close out its 2024 schedule with an exciting card on December 11 at the ProBox TV Events Center near Tampa, Florida, headlined by Brazilian lightweight Jonhatan Cardoso taking on Mexico’s Eduardo Ramirez in a 10-round contest.
Cardoso (17-1, 15 KOs) is riding high after a split-decision victory over Adam Lopez in May and the 25-year-old will be looking to make a statement against the experienced Ramirez (28-4-3, 13 KOs), who aims to rebound from a decision loss to Mark Magsayo earlier this year.
In the co-main event, unbeaten featherweight prospect Luis Reynaldo Nunez (19-0, 13 KOs) will return to the ring after an 18-month hiatus. The New York-based Dominican faces a tough test in Mexico’s Leonardo Baez (21-5, 12 KOs), who is stepping back into action following a three-year layoff. Baez’s last outing was a decision loss to Rey Vargas, and he’ll be looking to prove he’s still a contender in the division.
Rounding out the main card, Japanese southpaw Katsuma Akitsugi (11-0, 2 KOs) faces veteran Aston Palicte (28-6-1, 23 KOs) in a 10-round bantamweight bout.
