ProBox TV is serving up a super bantamweight headliner featuring San Antonio’s Ramon Cardenas (25-1, 14 KOs) against unbeaten Bryan Acosta (20-0, 8 KOs). Cardenas, ranked No. 2 WBA and No. 10 WBO, comes off a strong ninth-round knockout of Jesus Ramirez Rubio in April, while the 26-year-old Acosta seeks more ring time after limited action the last two years.
Adding to the excitement, rising Guatemalan star Lester Martinez (18-0, 15 KOs) returns following two wins in 2024 - a second-round KO in February and a clear-cut decision in June. Trained by Brian “BoMac” McIntyre, Martinez is now No. 2 in the WBA rankings (right behind Canelo Alvarez and Caleb Plant) and No. 8 in the WBC. He’ll face Sacramento’s Joeshon James (9-0-2, 5 KOs), who picked up a solid UD win over Vaughn Alexander earlier this year on ProBox TV.
