The main event of OTX 9 will showcase undefeated super-featherweight Haven Brady Jr. (12-0, 5 KOs) against Jesus Vasquez Jr. (11-2, 3 KOs). The fight, set for eight rounds, will decide the Vacant WBC United States Silver Super-Featherweight Championship. If the bout ends in a draw, it will move to a sudden-death ninth round to determine the winner.

Haven Brady Jr. returns to the ring after a sixth-round TKO victory over Waldemar Carrill in March. Reflecting on that fight, Brady highlighted his learning experience and overcoming adversity, including a point deduction for an illegal punch. Despite the challenges, he managed to secure a decisive win. This Friday, Brady aims to continue his knockout streak and prove his dominance in the division.

Jesus Vasquez Jr., a veteran of Top Rank, enters the fight with a 4-1 record over his last five bouts. His most recent victory came via a technical decision against Jaime Garzon in March. Vasquez, 11 years older than Brady, brings experience and discipline to the ring. He credits boxing for teaching him mental strength and dedication, attributes he will need to utilize fully against Brady’s power and aggression.

Brady’s brutal right hands are his key to victory. His ability to land decisive punches has been evident throughout his career, and he will look to exploit any openings in Vasquez’s defense. On the other hand, Vasquez must maintain a high pace and use his footwork to keep Brady off balance.
