The wait is over ladies and gentlemen! Artur Beterbiev and Dmitry Bivol will meet again on February 22 in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, headlining an event hailed as one of the most spectacular cards in boxing history.
The main event, Artur Beterbiev vs. Dmitry Bivol, is set to begin at 6:00 pm ET in the U.S. and 11:00 pm GMT in the UK, though the exact timing may vary depending on the length of the undercard fights.
Their first meeting in October ended with a majority decision for Beterbiev, spoiling promoter Eddie Hearn’s intentions of matching Bivol against Canelo Alvarez for an undisputed clash. This second installment aims to clarify who truly rules 175 lbs.
Beterbiev’s pressure and power wore Bivol down in the late stages of their previous fight. Bivol boxed beautifully early but lacked a finishing surge as Beterbiev’s aggression piled up points.
The oddsmakers still favor Beterbiev but only slightly, signaling how razor-thin their first fight was. If Bivol finds the right adjustments - maybe increasing volume, pivoting more frequently, or looking to do damage earlier - he can swing the outcome. Should Beterbiev dominate, talk of a potential matchup with David Benavidez might escalate.

In the co-main event, IBF heavyweight champion Daniel Dubois was set to put his belt on the line against former WBO titleholder Joseph Parker, but Daniel withdrew with an illness. Enter Martin Bakole, arguably an even riskier late replacement.
Parker, one of the most polished heavyweights not named Tyson Fury or Oleksandr Usyk, must adapt quickly to a strong, 280-ish pound brawler. Bakole’s speed and power surprised Jared Anderson, leading to an emphatic stoppage, and he’ll look to replicate that success here. Parker aims to use his jab, footwork, and combination punching to keep Bakole from planting his feet and unloading.
Even though Parker was the initial favorite, the betting line tightened the moment Bakole stepped in, signaling how dangerous he is. If Bakole manages to hurt Parker early, it could unravel Parker’s game plan.

Shakur Stevenson was planned to face a 22-year-old rising star Floyd Schofield in a WBC lightweight showdown, but the latter one has reportedly fallen ill and therefore won’t be able to participate. Floyd’s replacement will be Josh Padley (15-0, 4 KOs).
While Stevenson’s WBC title remains up for grabs, many observers lament the lost intrigue of Schofield’s undefeated record and brash style. Padley, an electrician by trade, famously claimed a short-notice upset of Mark Chamberlain in 2024, but facing Stevenson is a quantum leap in difficulty.
Stevenson’s defensive, chess-like style has garnered both praise for technical mastery and criticism for not producing action-packed fights. With Padley having little to lose, there’s an outside chance he’ll gamble on relentless aggression. Yet the reality is that Stevenson enters as an overwhelming favorite, especially after a full camp.

WBC middleweight champion Carlos Adames will defend his title against Hamzah Sheeraz. Many consider the current middleweight landscape to be somewhat thin, so the winner of this fight has a chance to stand out as the division’s clear frontrunner.
Adames thrives on high-intensity scraps, often engaging in slugfests where his accuracy and durability shine through. Sheeraz, riding a 15-fight KO streak, will challenge him to trade.
Oddsmakers lean toward Sheeraz, but Adames’ track record - he’s bested names like Sergiy Derevyanchenko and Julian Williams - suggests he’s far from outgunned. The result may hinge on who can establish the pace first. Expect body work, power punching, and a possible fight-of-the-night candidate if neither man backs down.

Vergil Ortiz Jr. is set to face Israil Madrimov, who was last seen narrowly losing to Terence Crawford. This potential show-stealer features two top-5 junior middleweights jockeying for a place in a division that might soon lose its biggest name, Terence Crawford, to bigger paydays.
Ortiz’s style is crowd-friendly, driving forward with pressure and lethal body shots. Madrimov, known for his quick shifts and awkward angles, must keep Ortiz off-balance.
The odds are basically even. If Madrimov can maintain distance and steal rounds, Ortiz might grow impatient and leave openings. Conversely, if Ortiz unleashes his trademark aggression, we could see an explosive knockout.

Zhilei Zhang faces unbeaten German Agit Kabayel for the vacant WBC interim heavyweight title. Though there’s a vacant “interim” belt on the line, the real importance lies in their top-5 status in a division ruled by Oleksandr Usyk. Negotiations are rumored to be underway for the winner to have an inside track toward a mandatory shot, so the stakes are larger than the trinket they’re officially contesting.
Zhang, now 41, has heavy hands but sometimes shows fatigue in the later rounds. Kabayel is younger and faster, opting for more mobile footwork and a steady jab. If the German can ride out Zhang’s early storm, he could take over down the stretch.
This is almost even money with the bookmakers. Zhang dispatched an aging Deontay Wilder by a brutal KO, and Kabayel notched major stoppages over Arslanbek Makhmudov and Frank Sanchez. Some ringside observers believe Kabayel’s body attack was the key factor against Sanchez - and it could be again here, given Zhang’s midsection is a big target.

Joshua Buatsi takes on Callum Smith in a crucial light heavyweight fight. Both Englishmen have histories of fighting on major stages, and for Smith there’s pressure to prove he’s not slipping from the top tier. Buatsi, for his part, wants to shake off criticisms of fighting a bit too safely behind his jab.
This clash offers the perfect platform for both to settle questions about which direction their careers are heading. Buatsi might go into a patient, methodical rhythm, but he’s shown flashes of aggression in his recent outings. Smith is renowned for his punch output when healthy and will test Buatsi’s willingness to trade on the inside.
Bookmakers see Buatsi as a slight favorite, suggesting there’s no sure winner. If Buatsi controls the center of the ring and establishes his jab early, Smith might be forced to fight off the back foot - possibly an advantage for Buatsi. Still, Smith’s experience against names like Canelo Alvarez and Artur Beterbiev keeps him in the conversation for one more big run.
