Two-time British champion and world title contender Denzel Bentley (19-3-1, 16 KO) is gearing up to face Ultimate Boxxer winner Derrick Osaze (13-1, 3 KO) on August 17 at the York Hall in Bethnal Green, London. This highly anticipated middleweight clash will be broadcast live on TNT Sports.

Both fighters hail from south London, with Bentley representing Battersea and Osaze, known as ‘The Punching Preacher,’ originating from Peckham. The 30-year-old Osaze made a name for himself by winning the 2019 Ultimate Boxxer middleweights tournament, where he triumphed over top prospects Tey Lynn Jones, Kieron Conway, and Grant Dennis in one night.

Osaze's career took a hit in June 2021 when he faced Tyler Denny in Sheffield, resulting in his first professional loss after a grueling 10-round bout. However, Osaze, who now resides in Nottingham and serves as the pastor of the GVM Youth Church, has since bounced back with three consecutive wins, despite only fighting once per year due to the pandemic.

Bentley, 29, recently rebounded from a mixed decision defeat to Nathan Heaney in November 2023 with a spectacular second-round knockout of Danny Dignum last May. His career has been marked by significant highs and lows, including a draw and subsequent victory over Mark Heffron for the British middleweight title, and a first title defense loss to Felix Cash. Bentley's most notable fight was a competitive but ultimately unsuccessful world title challenge against WBO World middleweight champion Janibek Alimkhanuly in Las Vegas.
