Saturday’s ProBox TV event at the Boeing Center in San Antonio has a new main event—and it’s one with real implications in the bantamweight division. Michael Angeletti (13-0, 8 KOs), unbeaten and IBF-ranked, steps into the spotlight against tough challenger Eros Correa (15-1, 9 KOs) after the original headline bout fell apart.
Angeletti, fighting in his home state, enters the biggest moment of his career just days after laying his grandfather to rest. He’s already familiar with the stage, having scored a knockout win at this same venue in February.
Correa, a determined contender from San Jose, comes in riding a five-fight win streak since suffering his lone career defeat in 2021. His most recent victory came by unanimous decision in March, showing his form is sharp and steady.
The night was originally set to feature Justin Pauldo vs. Juan Carlos Burgos, but that bout was scrapped after Pauldo missed weight and no agreement was reached to move forward.
The televised co‑feature pits rising Texan welterweight Emiliano “El General” Moreno (12‑0, 9 KOs) against Ecuadorian spoiler Erick Bone (29‑7, 19 KOs) over 10 rounds. Bone, a late‑replacement king who once extended Shawn Porter, says he’ll drag the 22‑year‑old puncher into “deep water” in his toughest test to date.
